  • The Residency Program is for like-minded individuals, researchers and freelancers eager to shape a sustainable society and create green growth. The program includes access to a workstation in Bioregion institute and a dedicated community around the bioeconomy and design.

    The Residency Program includes:

    • One person workstation in Bioregion Institute in Bergen, Norway

    • Two persons - free access to Bioregion Institute events

    • Free access to meeting rooms

    • 50% discount on seminar room < 10 guests

    • 50% discount on biodesign lab

    The resident program is solely for individual professionals/freelancers.

  • The “Presearchers” Program is a transversal and interdisciplinary internship program for Master students stimulating, testing and putting in motion disruptive research concepts. “Presearchers” are assisting ongoing applied research projects within biomaterials, circular and bioeconomy, gaining work experience in a domain related to their studies. Candidates profiles and studies focus are welcome from disciplines such as engineering, biomaterials, industrial biotechnology, industrial design, graphic design, architecture, management & innovation, business development, sales & marketing.

    A BIOREGION PRESEARCHER position includes:

    • Six months internship period as Master student internship on professional ongoing applied research projects

    • Shared desks in an open community space in Laksevåg

    • 50% to the makerspace Bergen Fellesverksted on the first floor.

    As Bioregion Presearchers, you will acquire knowledge on how our institute is organized and how a research project is carried out within Bioregion Institute. You will both work independently in the Biodesign lab and participate to the institute as research member, mentored by a senior team member. At Bioregion Institute, you will get insight into practical issues in work situations that will bring you an robust edge for your practice based research career. The Presearcher Program does not include financial compensation; any candidate must secure its own financial support for living during the Presearcher period before coming in Norway.
