We are a small, specialist team of designers and biochemists, working with industries that hold underused biological resources and need to know what to do with them.
We map what you have, develop new material models in our BioDesign Lab and, when the product is ready, scale it to market with our partners.
Three phases. One team. No fossil materials involved. *

PHASE 01
Waste stream mapping and material feasibility
You bring us your residue, your side stream, or your sustainability challenge. We identify the biological resource potential, map existing value chains, and deliver a clear material opportunity brief — so you know what is worth developing before committing to full R&D.
Typical duration: 4–8 weeks.
Typical clients: seafood companies, food producers, municipalities, aquaculture groups
Develop
PHASE 02
Proof of concept in the BioDesign Lab
We design, prototype, and test biobased, biodegradable material solutions from your feedstock. Every proof of concept is produced with real material data — biodegradability parameters, structural behaviour, aesthetic value — so your product enters the market with substance behind it.
Typical duration: 3–6 months.
Typical output: functional prototype, material data sheet, IP framework.
Scale
PHASE 03
From prototype to market, with Pando
When your material is ready, we bring in Pando Partners — our dedicated scaling partner — to run the commercial phase: go-to-market strategy, pilot customers, funding applications, and press.
This is how Woolly™ moved from lab prototype to NRK television story and two granted funding applications in under twelve months.
Scaling is not an afterthought.
It is built into how we work from the start.
Working on a residue stream you do not know what to do with?
